Over half a million dollars in damage is reported after a large house fire in Niagara-On-The-Lake.

Fire crews now have the blaze on Simcoe Street under control.

The fire was first reported to 9-1-1 just after 6am Saturday.

The homeowner was outside the house when firefighters arrived on the scene.

The Ontario Fire Marshall's Office has been called in to investigate.

No injuries have been reported.
